Introduction Follow along with the example project assembly instructions to build a 3-D printed robot using the Shell-E Innovation Kit.
When you load a project, the ARC (formerly EZ-Builder) software will download the required EZ-Bits and ask if you would like to view the assembly instructions. In this lesson, we will explain how to assemble a robot with the Shell-E Innovation Kit.
What You Will Need
3-D printed Top Chassis, Bottom Chassis, and two Servo Clips
#0 Phillips screwdriver
Double-sided tape or hot glue
Six rechargeable AA batteries*
A Windows PC with ARC Installed
Shell-E Innovation Kit
*Note: Rechargeable AA batteries of at least 2000 mAh are recommended. Alkaline batteries will not last as long and may shorten the lifespan of the servos. Rechargeable batteries last longer in the classroom and are more environmentally responsible.
