Network CoNflict

Sometimes if you have many devices connected at once to your PC, you may run into the image below when clicking on the Connect button in the Connections window.

IP Address Change
This is because the EZ-B uses the IP address 192.168.1.1 by default. It is rare, but possible, that other devices like a router can use that same IP address. In order to fix this, you must change your EZ-B IP address by doing the following.

  1. On your PC, disconnect from all sources of WiFi or internet connection. This includes unplugging Ethernet cables.
  2. Turn on your robot, and connect to its WiFi network (ex. EZ-B v4.x/2 a1b2c3d4e5f6)
  3. Open a new tab on your browser, type in 192.168.1.1 and hit enter, or click here
  4. You should now see the EZ-B terminal. On the left side, click on Wi-Fi AP Mode
  5. Where it says EZ-B v4 IP Address, change it to something different, such as 192.168.1.10
  6. Click Save and Reboot

ARC IP Change
In the Connections window in ARC, you will need to change the IP Address there as well before clicking Connect.

Note that any IP Address changes in the Connections window save on the Project. So after doing this, you should click on Save As, and save it as a new project so you can open it later. To reopen that project later, go to Open > File System and click on your project.

Alternately, you can simply change the IP Address every time you load up the software if you don't want to do that..
