Hi there,

I have re-posted from "working on a baby dragon post"

I am slowly finishing an animation script about my kidney failure/dialysis and transplant from the point of view of my two dogs...the dogs steal my script and take over the need to make some robotic animations to go in teddy/plush dog other creatures that I plan to make, I do make plush bears, dragons etc from scratch already so that is not the problem, it is how to get them to move etc.

Can anyone here help with what components I could use I haven't quite seen anything that would act like a dog/cat or bird that are creatures in my script, but the humanoid kit would be good for the teddy bears representing myself and the poor humans who share the limelight with the dogs I assume.

thanks in advance.

I have found a few conversations, tutorials and activities that may help with your question. Take a look at these links. I've sorted them by what I believe to be most relevant but that is not always the case as I'm still learning.

Good luck Boofy with your serious condition. Sounds overwhelming.

As far as your question; part of this robot stuff is learning to control the robot in your own way. It's always best to learn how do do something to make it work the way you want it if you can't find it done that way by someone else. Try looking through robot projects people have uploaded to the EZ Cloud. You can access them either through the website or EZ Builder. There are lots of examples and if there is nothing there that meets your needs then they are a good source of knowledge on how to use EZ Builder, how it works and how to write scripts. No one else's work will really act the way you would make it act anyway.

As far as actual parts that you could use to build the robot with visit The Robot Shop, The Robot Marketplace and best of all ServoCity for a great assortment of robot building material.

Good luck and have fun with this. Smile

Humanoid for the teddy bear, and for the dog robot:

Wow! thank you both! I will have a hunt around and see what I can find that is similar Dave and Maze your diagram is awesome! Thanks for the help.

It will probably take me another decade to get to the next phase but it is fun!

Dave, yes my condition was overwhelming in lots of ways, especially when you throw in a replacement heart valve and Oesophageal cancer. Just as well I am not a robot or I would have been "dissasembled" by now Grin !

I have a great hubby who donated the kidney and (had) two mischievous bratty dogs to help me though it all and a weird sense of humour to keep everything lively.

All the best for the new year!
